The UK HSE (Health and Safety Executive) is currently advising those who have not used Government Gateway account(s) registered with the ‘Comply with UK REACH IT’ service since fulfilling their initial regulatory obligations to login. As of 01 January 2024 the service, through which businesses submit dossiers and information to the UK REACH Competent Agency, will have been operational for 3 years – which is the cutoff time period for keeping accounts active and retaining access to submission data. It is noted that losing access may also preclude updating or progressing a previous submission. However, data will not be deleted, and so in theory should be retrievable by reactivating accounts through the UK REACH helpline (0330 159 1985).
