Cameron joined the aquatic ecotoxicology team at Cambridge Environmental Assessments (CEA) in mid-2024. His interest in freshwater studies piqued when he completed a student project on how signal crayfish impact other macroinvertebrates while studying for a BSc (Hons) Zoology at the University of Derby. Away from university, he went on to do volunteer work that entailed bird surveys, community engagement, butterfly transects, and information work on invertebrates found in the River Don for the Don Catchment Rivers Trust. At CEA, he is part of the ecotoxicology team working on outdoor mesocosm studies, laboratory analysis, and maintaining good laboratory practice.
