Sarah has 20 years’ experience in the conduct of laboratory and semi-field based GLP studies, primarily focusing on aquatic organisms and some terrestrial work. Sarah holds a BSc (hons) in Natural Sciences from the Open University.
Early in her career, Sarah was an ecotoxicology study director working in a large contract research laboratory conducting a variety of Tier 1 tests on invertebrate and fish species. Following on from this she worked on higher tier mesocosm studies (at CEA) and most recently moved on to some more novel projects (mainly on marine invertebrate species) that involved developing bespoke test designs. Sarah is experienced in the use and interpretation of statistical analysis for ECx derivation including MDD analysis.
Sarah now uses her extensive knowledge of test procedures and design, GLP requirements and relevant regulatory guidelines in her current role as a regulatory ecotoxicologist and risk assessor at CEA.
