Ecotoxicologist

• Sona joined CEA in 2025 as a regulatory ecotoxicologist and risk assessor. She is an environmental scientist specialising in chemical risk assessment and contaminant dynamics.
• Prior to joining CEA, she worked for a state regulatory agency in the US as a human health risk assessor providing risk assessment expertise for environmental and remedial investigations. She developed specialised knowledge in evaluating the risks of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the environment. Additionally, she worked on comprehensive human health and ecological risk assessments during her time at an environmental consultancy.
• She has experience with pollutant fate and transport evaluations for both organics and inorganics.
• Sona holds a BSc in Environmental Science and an MSc in Land and Atmospheric Science.
